Elaine begins to chant at Jericho that she does love Ban only to have Jericho confess she loves Ban as well because he's her savior. Elaine points out to Jericho that Ban will never look at a girl like her and therefore, Ban will never return her feelings.

In Malory's sprawling work, Elaine (or Elayne) is the name of five women with overlapping identities. The best known and most cited of these is Elaine Le Blank, known as the Fair Maid of Astolat, who falls in love with Lancelot, provokes Guinevere's jealousy, and eventually dies of love for the knight.
Unfortunately, this hope was never realized because Meliodas fell in love with a goddess named Elizabeth.
